GEERT MOERINGS

Geert Moerings is one of the main owners and the founder of Moerings SportHorses. Geert has over 35 years of riding experience and has brought many horses to top level. Geert started with a few young horses, among which, Esther. Esther was one of the best horses Geert had and was the one Geert had the most successes with. Esther was a very strong mare with a great hear, one that never quits the job. That is one of the main things he gave to his offspring. The blood, Technique and intelligence were her strongest points, and that is what the Esther's are famous for. Manchester, Lester, Twisther and Ralvesther were the first top horses from Geert. Manchester (Guidam X Zevenster) was the first of them all, he was a little gelding with a huge heart. Later named Al Bareq, Manchester competed with Jürgen Krackow and Saeed Nasser Al-Qadhi. Lester was the second of the group and was sold Jan Tops Stables at the age of 5 when he was jumping 1.20. Later that year Lester moved to LS La Silla and got under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. unfortunately, later that year, Lester past away after a colic attack. Ralvesther and Twisther were the last 2 of the group and were very successful under Geert. Ralvesther got sold to America and moved to the stable of Brianna Goutal were she competed at 1.60 WC level. Twisther got sold to Jonathan & Christine Mccrea and Jumped 1.60 in America to.

MARIE-LOUISE MOERINGS

The second owner of Moerings SportHorses is the wife of Geert, Marie-Louise Moerings. Marie-Louise has been a dressage rider for over 30 years at has also schooled many horses to high level. Here seen on the gelding Esplanade. Marie-Louise also trains a lot of Geert, Bas and Eline's horses. Together with Geert, she has been running Moerings SportHorses for over 25 years now, and still doing it with passion every day.

BAS MOERINGS

Bas Moerings is a 18 year old show jumper and the son of Geert Moerings and Marie-Louise Moerings. Bas started riding when he was 11 and jumped his first 1.45 GP at age of 15. Back in those days Bas could rely on a very good mare, Vesther. After 3 years Bas gave his Vesther to his younger sister Eline, but started with the son of Vesther, Hervesther (Elvis ter Putte). Bas also had 2 other top horses: Fasther & Fosther, both by Vigo d'arsouilles. In 2017 Bas almost got a gold junior medal but 2 poles in the last round made him drop to place number 9 with Fasther and 12 with Fosther, which still isn't bad for 2 seven year old horses. At CSIO Wierden 2017 Bas won the 1.40 with the 7 year old Fasther and got a 5 and 0 in the Nations cup in Lamprechtshausen. Currently Bas is working part-time at 'Stal Krabbebos' and also rides Ipsthar (KWPN approved Stallion). Bas is almost done with school and is planning to start riding full-time after school.

ELINE MOERINGS

Eline is a 14 year old show jumper who recently moved from pony's to horses. Eline is riding the 5 year old Hastha la Vistha by Vigo d'arsouilles at national 1.10 shows. Eline started riding at the age of 8 and never wanted anything else. Eline also is doing a very though education at high school. Eline wants to keep riding and get to  the highest possible level in show jumping. Eline is currently still riding at home, Moerings SportHorses. Eline is being trained by Leon Kuijpers from 'Stal Krabbebos' where Bas is working as a rider.
